We all know the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk".

A boy receives a mysterious bean and leaves it in his backyard, where it grows into a gigantic beanstalk with leaves of gold that stretches up into the sky -- and he climbs it into the clouds to discover a ferocious man-eating giant, whom he eventually kills.

The popular tale is retold with a thrilling, epic take by director Bryan Singer, who morphs the sole giant into an entire race that wages war on Earth to reclaim the land they once lost.

Starring Nicholas Hoult, who previously played the Beast in X-Men: First Class as Jack, a boy who stumbles onto the portal to the giants' world, the show also features Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor.
