The Sentosa Resort Sunday Champagne Brunch If you want a resort-like setting to your leisurely champagne brunch, fewer places are as indulgent as The Sentosa Resort. The Terrace restaurant features butter-roasted wagyu rump (picture above), pan-fried foie gras, freshly shucked oysters (same as the ones served at The Cliff), a selection of cheeses, hams, breads, and a sizzling outdoor BBQ station with steaks, sausages and tandoori meats. And desserts take up an entire room (their Baifuting Chinese restaurant which is closed on Sundays). The kids have a special buffet just for them in a separate playroom with babysitters, so the adults can really relax.

S$108++ per adult (top up S$44 for free flow of Duval-Leroy champagne) S$58++ per child aged 4 to 12 Sundays 12pm to 3pm.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Yes, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon now serves lunch on Sundays (yes, it counts as brunch if you wake up late enough)! The set menus are not only much more affordable – three courses of appetiser, fish/meat, dessert start at S$49 – but also showcase the Robuchon signature items. Enjoy the La Joue de Porc (pork cheek salad on a carrot puree), Le Piquillos (piquillos peppers with brandade of salted codfish and romesco sauce) or Les Caraibes (coconut cloud, rum granite with banana passion fruit smoothness). But the best part of L’Atelier is the cheerful and convivial atmosphere, with staff who are well-trained and warmly unpretentious.

Three-course menu S$49; Four course menu S$68; Five-course menu S$87 All menus come with amuse bouche, coffee/tea and mignardise. Sundays 12pm to 2pm

There’s a new Sunday brunch menu by consultant chef Andrew Gale of the much-acclaimed Duchess of Spotswood in Victoria, Australia. The a la carte dishes include Grilled Ox Tongue with Salsa Verde and Poached Eggs; and the Sea Scramble – creamy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and crab meat, livened up with studs of pickled kimchi. The Pork Cheek and Baked Beans feature fork tender brined pork cheeks with fried egg, sausage and sourdough bread. If you must start the day with something sweet, go for the Puffed Grains with Poached Fruits, fresh berries, lemon zest and vanilla mascarpone (above).
