11 Jun – Warner Bros. is set to adapt Stephen King's famous novel circa 1986, with British romantic drama film "Jane Eyre" director Cary Fukunaga has been called to direct the film which would be split into two feature-length releases according to ComingSoon.net.

"IT", which previously was a well-received television miniseries in 1990, is the story of an evil demon clown which preyed on children in Derry, Maine. Now adults, a group of friends prepare to fight against the evil creature that lurks in Derry's sewers as the murders in the town are repeating once again.

Scripting duties of the film will be attended by Fukunaga himself together with Chase Palmer, David Katzenberg, Roy Lee, Dan Lin and Seth Grahame-Smith who would be producing.

Apart from "IT", King's other popular adaptations include "The Stand", "The Dark Tower", "Carrie" and "The Ten O'Clock People". His recent novel, "Under the Dome" will be aired as a Showtime series with Steven Spielberg executive producing.
