20 Jul – Brown Eyed Girls member JeA may not be the most famous or the sexiest idol group member in the business, but she is indeed the first girl group member to become a music producer.
According to Allkpop website, the talented singer-songwriter garnered the title of "The Popular Producer" after producing the group's new digital single, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" – a summer ballad suitable for the group's soulful voice.
The 30-year-old BEG leader stated, "In reality, women are more emotional and deep, so writing songs should be easier for us."
The singer agreed that producing a song is quite harder than expected but she expects the industry to have more successful women producers in the future.
JeA added, "I want to find my own style and I hope to work with other artistes in the future."
Taken from their latest digital single, "The Original", "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was a song that she thought up while she was at the beach with her friends. JeA commented that the song was made as her way to express the loneliness of the ocean.
However, this is not JeA's first time in song-writing. She has composed her own songs for her solo album as well as fellow BEG member Ga-in and 2AM JoKwon's duet song, "We Fell in Love," slowly making her way up as a producer.
