Lee Seung-gi rejected as host

7 July – It was revealed that production for Lee Seung-gi's new SBS variety show "Table for 100" has been cancelled.

As reported on Korea.com, the show – nicknamed as the SBS version of "2 Days 1 Night" has been canned by the broadcasting company for not having content strong enough to compete against other shows of the same nature.

On 4 July, a representative of SBS revealed, "There were a lot of meetings held over the format of the show, and many felt that it wasn't strong enough to be able to compete against the other shows."

It was mentioned that it is natural for a lot of shows to be rejected during its pre-production phase.

They added, "We haven't decided whether PD Shin Hyo-jung will prepare a new show under a different concept."

The programme previously earned headlines for being the work of PD Shin Hyo-jung, who is best known for shows like "Sketchbook" and "2 Days 1 Night" before transferring from KBS 2TV to SBS recently.
