Raja Abdullah Arab Saudi sokong tindakan ganas tentera Mesir

Pelajar Malaysia di Mesir dibawa pulang selewat-lewatnya Jumaat - Bernama

Raja Abdullah menggesa warga Arab bersatu menentang percubaan untuk menggugat kestabilan Mesir.

Raja Arab Saudi itu menggesa penduduk Timur Tengah untuk menghalang percubaan pengganas untuk mengganggu gugat keamanan rantau itu.

"Kerajaan Arab Saudi dan rakyatnya bersatu menentang keganasan di Mesir, katanya dipetik dari laporan Al Jazeera.

"Saya menggesa kerajaan Mesir, Arab dan negara Islam lain bersatu menentang keganasan yang telah menggugat keamanan wilayah Arab dan orang Islam," katanya.

Beliau turut menanam keyakinan keadaan di Mesir akan kembali seperti sedia kala.

Arab Saudi nerupakan bekas sekutu rapat bekas presiden Hosni Mubarak dan mempunyai hubungan tegang dengan pergerakan Ikhwanul Muslimin.

Beliau menyumbang US$5 bilion (RM16.4 bilion) kepada Mesir selepas Dr Mohamed Morsi dan Ikhwanul Muslimin digulingkan tentera bulan lalu.

Keganasan tercetus sejak beberapa hari lalu diantara penyokong bekas presiden Morsi dan kumpulan menentangnya sehingga menyebabkan ada yang terbunuh dan ramai cedera. - 17 Ogos, 2013.
