Lady Gaga will appear on the front cover of Vogue's all-important September issue.

The international songstress will be the star of the prestigious fashion magazine's biggest edition later this year, reports WWD.

According to sources, Gaga has already been photographed by esteemed fashion duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

The 26-year-old star's first Vogue cover was published in March of last year, and proved a hit with buyers. The Anna Wintour-edited magazine is famed for its September edition - which is the year's biggest and most fashion-packed issue.

Gaga is well-respected in the fashion industry and is regularly celebrated for her innovative style.

The star is currently on Born This Way Ball worldwide concert tour, and is recuperating from a stage injury. The eccentric singer was hit on the head by a dancer's pole while performing in Auckland, New Zealand.

Gaga recently took to her Twitter page to post a photo of herself with a black eye following the incident.

"Emerging from hours of sleep. Still remiss if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be of questionable styling," she wrote, adding: "Thank you so much for all the thoughtful messages. I feel a bit woozy but a little better everyday. Very happy to be in beautiful Australia (sic)."
