Singapore joins growing mermaid trend worldwide

The 21-year-old student from National University of Singapore, Cara Nicole Neo, is the city-state's first ever mermaid. The English Literature student calls herself "Mermaid Syrena" and she loves to don her shiny fish tail as a hobby, and sometimes earning pocket money from it as she entertains guests at private party, or when she poses for photo shoots or functions. But she is not the only mermaid around. Others have surfaced across the globe as well, including male mermaids, also called "Mermens".
